10,000 Bangladeshis filed for permanent residency in the UK yesterday.
UK is going to send 10 thousand Bangladeshi citizens back to the country. These persons applied for permanent residence in the country on student, working visa or tourist visa.
It is known that last year about 11 thousand Bangladeshi citizens immigrated to Britain as students. But after only 1 year, they have requested permission to live there permanently. But only 5 percent of the citizens who applied were initially granted permission to stay there.
The country's illegal immigration minister, Michael Tomlinson, last week signed a fast truck deal to repatriate Bangladeshi illegal immigrants. He said that they will be sent back under this agreement.
Illegal immigration minister said, Bangladesh is our valuable partner. It's great that we're strengthening ties in other areas as well.
He said, we are seeing the clear impact of such agreements. We believe that global problems require global solutions. And we are systematically interested in working more with Bangladesh.
