100,000 pieces of foreign pistols were seized in Ukhia

BGB has seized one lakh pieces of Yaba, two foreign pistols, a domestically made pipe gun, 10 rounds of pistol bullets and 15 rounds of pipe gun bullets from Ukhia in Cox's Bazar. However, the organization could not arrest anyone in this incident.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Mashrooqi, Commander of Cox's Bazar Battalion (34 BGB) confirmed the matter on Wednesday (August 21) morning.

He said that around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, some drug dealers were challenged by BGB patrols while entering Bangladesh on foot from the border. At this time, the drug dealers left the bag they were carrying and fled through the jungle towards Myanmar. Later, their abandoned bags were searched and one lakh pieces of yaba, two foreign pistols, a locally made pipe gun, 10 rounds of pistol bullets and 15 rounds of pipe gun bullets were seized. Further legal action is pending in this case.
