11 people died due to lightning


11 people died in six districts of the country due to lightning. Among them, two deaths were reported in Natore, three in Naogaon, three in Chapainawabganj, one in Dinajpur, one in Thakurgaon and one in Sandwip of Chittagong.

The incident took place on Friday from noon to afternoon. Besides, five people were injured in this incident.

Nato's: During fishing in Barnai river near the cemetery of Komarpur village of Naldanga upazila of the district, Md. was struck by lightning during fishing. A young man named Kamrul Hossain (35) has died. Md. was injured at this time. One named Majnu (40). The deceased Kamrul of Komarpur village of the same upazila. Son of Lutfar Rahman. And the injured Majnu is the son of Ahmad Ali of the same village.

Naldanga Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Dewan Akramul Haque confirmed this information.

On the other hand, a housewife named Abera Begum (40) died due to lightning in Gurdaspur of the district. The incident took place in the municipal area around 2 pm.

The deceased Abera is the wife of Saddad Hossain of Anand Nagar Mohalla in Gurdaspur Municipality.

Chapainawabganj: A housewife named Bobby Bokat (22) was standing in front of the house in Alidanga village of Shibganj municipality of the district. When it started raining, he died on the spot due to lightning. This incident happened around noon.

The deceased Bobby is the wife of Subhash Bokat of that village.

A schoolgirl named Kavita Khatun died on the spot while taking a bath in the courtyard of her house in the rain in the yard of Ismail Master in Dakshin Paka village of Paka union of the same upazila. Kavita Charpaka is a third class student of Government Primary School.

On the other hand, another child named Amena Khatun (10) died due to lightning while picking mangoes in the rain in Bholahat Upazila of the district.

Amena's father Eslam Ali said that Amena lost consciousness due to lightning while picking mangoes near the house. Later, with the help of locals, the girl was rescued and taken to Bholahat Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared her dead.

Naogaon: Two people named Khademul (50) and Monika (35) died in Manda upazila village of the district.

Locals said that Khademul was picking mangoes near the house during the afternoon rain. At that time he died on the spot due to lightning. Besides, Monika died due to lightning while picking paddy straw in the yard.

Meanwhile, Shamsul Alam was drying paddy in the afternoon in Bholam village of the same upazila. At that time, when it started raining, he died on the spot due to lightning.

On the other hand, two persons named Abdul Khalek and Habibur Rahman were feeding grass to cattle in the field of Ghabna village of Badalgachi upazila of the district. At that time, when it started raining, they took shelter under the trees on the side of the road. Both of them were seriously injured when the tree branches fell due to lightning. Two goats with them died in this incident. Locals rescued two injured people and admitted them to Badalgachi Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patnitala Police Station Mozaffar Hossain and OC of Manda Police Station Mozzamel Haque and OC of Badalgachi Police Station Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident.

Dinajpur: A college student named Jewel (19) died due to lightning in Lalghat area of ​​Kushdah Union of Nawabganj Upazila of the district.

The deceased Jewel is the son of Golzar Hossain of that area. He was an eleventh class student of Aftabganj Government College. Jewel was sitting on a culvert next to the house in the afternoon rain. At that time, he was seriously injured by lightning. He was rescued and taken to Phulbari Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared him dead.

Aftabganj Police Investigation Center in-charge Sub-Inspector (ESAI) Sirajul Haque confirmed the matter.

Thakurgaon: A woman named Lipi Aktar died due to lightning in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. The incident took place in Ranshia village of the upazila in the afternoon. Lipi is the wife of Firoz Zaman of Ranshia village.

Ziaur Rahman, Chairman of Jabarhat Union, said that after seeing the storm coming in the afternoon, Lipi went to pick the corn plants left to dry near Akta's house. At this time, lightning occurred. He died on the spot.

Pirganj police station OC Khairul Alam confirmed the truth of the incident. He said that the death of a woman due to lightning has been reported. Police visited the spot.

Chittagong: Thunderstorm in Sandwip of Chittagong. A madrasa student named Rafi (14) has died. He died due to lightning at 11:30 pm. Rafi Sandwip Gakua 3rd Ward No. 3 of the house of Hadiyar Go. Son of Jamaluddin.

Locals said that Rafi was playing football in the char field with other boys when the lightning struck.

Sohel member of UP member of Gachua Union confirmed the fact of the incident.

He said that the deceased Rafi was a student of the local Khan Saheb Noorani Hafezia Madrasah's Hifzul Quran section. This incident has cast a shadow of mourning on the area. Rafi's house is filled with tears after losing his son.
