11 policemen were killed in an attack by gunmen in Pakistan's Punjab province. Seven others were injured in this incident.

According to the police, the policemen were attacked while patrolling the desert area of ββRahim Yar Khan to catch robbers. The attackers also used rocket-propelled grenades. It is believed that the robbers carried out the attack.
The Punjab police chief rescued the injured and sent them to a local hospital for treatment. He informed them to provide better treatment.
The Chief Minister of the province Maryam Nawaz strongly condemned the incident and announced to take revenge.
In the southern provinces of Punjab and Sindh, bandits often kidnap locals for ransom. That's why the police often conduct raids in this area to suppress robbers. These robbers have also attacked the police in the past few months. Several policemen were killed.
Meanwhile, gunmen attacked a school bus in Punjab yesterday. Two children were killed and six others were injured. However, no one has claimed responsibility for this attack.
After the Punjab attack, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called for 'swift and effective action' against those involved in a statement.
