15,000 tickets have been sold in three hours of the advance ticket sale for Eid Yatra train on April 7. On this day, 82 lakh hits were recorded on the Rail Seva app.
On the occasion of Eid, the sale of tickets for the fifth day starts at 8 am. The second shift will start at 2 pm for the sale of tickets for the eastern region.
Kamalapur Railway Station Manager Mohammad Masud Sarwar gave this information at 11:30 on Thursday (March 28).
He said that the tickets for the western region from Dhaka are opened at 8 am on Thursday. According to the information received till 11 am, 15 thousand tickets have been sold. 8.2 million attempts have been made to buy tickets online today.
Masud Sarwar said that the trains in the western region have 16 thousand seats. Tickets for eastern zone will be released online at 2 pm.
Tickets for 42 pairs of inter-city trains leaving Dhaka this year are being given in two phases. On the occasion of Eid, these advance tickets will be sold completely online. Masud Sarwar also said that all arrangements have been made to keep the Eid journey hassle-free and safe.
Meanwhile, return tickets will be available from April 3. Tickets for April 13 will be available on April 3. Tickets for April 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 respectively will be available till April 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively.
