1885 weapons and 3 lakh rounds of ammunition are still missing in the rescue operation

After the fall of the Awami League government in a student uprising on August 5, angry mobs set fire to and attacked various police stations across the country. At this time, the miscreants looted the weapons and ammunition. Joint forces are conducting an operation to recover these weapons.

3 thousand 933 out of 5 thousand 818 looted weapons have been recovered so far.

According to police headquarters sources, the last day to submit weapons and ammunition was last Tuesday (September 3). The joint forces are conducting an operation to recover looted and illegal weapons from the next day on Wednesday (September 4).

3 thousand 933 weapons have been recovered till Thursday (September 5). Among them, 1 thousand 885 weapons including rifles, SMGs, LMGs and pistols have not yet been recovered. Apart from this, almost 3 lakh looted ammunition could not be recovered.

Among the looted weapons, 839 Chinese rifles were recovered, 296 were not recovered. 9 Bangladeshi rifles were recovered, 1 was not recovered. 191 SMGs were recovered, 60 were not recovered. 21 LMG recovered, 11 not recovered. 731 pistols were recovered, 825 were not recovered.

9×19 mm. SMG/SMT recovered 32, 1 not recovered. 1 thousand 624 shotguns were recovered, 67 were not recovered. 476 gas guns were recovered, 117 were not recovered. Tear gas launcher (six shot) recovered 9, unrecovered 5 and signal pistol recovered 1, unrecovered 2.

3 lakh 12 thousand 857 bullets of different bores were recovered, 2 lakh 94 thousand 405 were not recovered. 23 thousand 194 teargas shells were recovered, 8 thousand 811 were not recovered. 704 tear gas grenades were recovered, 751 were not recovered. 2 thousand 128 sound grenades were recovered, 2 thousand 564 could not be recovered.

Color smoke grenades recovered 213, 78 not recovered. 18 multiple bang stun grenades were recovered, 37 were not recovered.

533 flash bang grenades were recovered, 360 were not recovered. Gand Held tear gas spray (canister) recovered 94, could not recover 83.

Army, Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces, Coast Guard and RAB participated in this ongoing joint operation.
