Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a covered van and a motorcycle in Tangail's Ghatail. Another person was injured in this incident.
The accident took place on Thursday (June 13) around 8 am in Kadmatoli area of Tangail-Mymensingh road.
The deceased are Badsha Mia (48) son of Julhas Mia of Kadmatoli area of Ghatail upazila and Zahirul Islam Jewel (46) of Kashtala village. Both of them were motorcycle riders.
Ghatail Police Station Deputy Inspector (SI) Belal Hossain said that there were three riders on the motorcycle. There was a head-on collision with a covered van in Kadmatoli area. One died on the spot. Besides, another person died after being taken to Kalihati Hospital.
He also said that the bodies of the victims will be handed over to their families after the legal process.
