2 killed in motorcycle accident on Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway

Two motorcyclists named Hasibur Rahman Molla (26) and Masud Hossain were killed in a road accident in Kandi area of ​​Shibchar Upazila of Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in Madaripur.

The accident happened on Tuesday (August 20) around 8 pm. The highway police visited the spot and recovered the body.

The deceased Hasibur Rahman Molla is the son of deceased Mizanur Rahman Molla of Kazibakai Union of Dasar Upazila of District and is a student of electrical subject of Dr. Abdus Sobhan Golap Polytechnic Institute of Kalkini. The other deceased, Masud Hossain, is a resident of the same upazila.

According to highway police and local sources, the motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle from behind when it reached the Kandi area of ​​Shivchar on the Dhaka-Bhanga expressway on its way from Dhaka to Bhanga at around 8 pm. The motorcycle got twisted and the driver Hasibur Rahman died on the spot. Later, locals rescued the injured Masud Hossain who was riding a motorcycle and brought him to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex. When his condition became serious, Masud Hossain died on the way to Dhaka for better treatment.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibchar Highway Police Station. Shakil Ahmed said that the highway police went to the spot and recovered the body of the driver. After that, with the help of locals, the body of the deceased and the injured person were taken to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex. Later, as the condition of the injured was critical, he died on the way to Dhaka for better treatment.
