3 sons of Ismail, the top leader of Hamas, were killed

Three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. Hamas and Haniyeh's family reported this information on Wednesday.

Hamas said Ismail Haniyeh's three sons – Hazem, Amir and Mohammed – were driving the car before the bomb exploded in Gaza's al-Shati camp. All three of them were killed in the blast. Haniyeh's two grandsons were also killed and a third wounded in the attack.

After the incident, Haniyeh told Al Jazeera TV, 'Our demands are clear and specific and we will not compromise on them. If the enemy thinks that targeting my sons in the final stages of negotiations will force Hamas to change its position, it is wrong.'

β€œThe blood of my sons is not dearer than the blood of our people,” said Haniyeh, who is stationed in the Gulf Arab state of Qatar.

Earlier in November, Haniyeh's home in Gaza was destroyed by Israeli airstrikes.

Haniyah's eldest son confirmed in a Facebook post that three of his brothers were killed.

Abdel-Salam Hanieh wrote, 'Thanks to God who honored us with the martyrdom of my brothers, Hazem, Amir and Mohammed and their children.'
