Three lakh people in the vast township of Panch Upazila of Feni are witnessing the terrible flood of remembrance. Not wealth, saving life has become the main thing for people. Communication has been severed in Phulgazi, Parashuram, Chagalnaya upazilas. No electricity connection.
Along with the army, Coast Guard, BGB, Fire Service and volunteers have joined in the rescue of the victims due to the heavy pressure of Indian mountain torrents and continuous rains. However, the rescue operations are being hampered due to the loss of communication in the affected areas and the strong flow of water.

About 95 percent of Phulghazi, Parashuram, Chagalnaya, Feni Sadar and Daganbhuyan areas of the district have been submerged in water. The road communication system is closed, there is no electricity connection.

Sub-Divisional Engineer of Feni Water Development Board. Abul Kashem said, water is entering the locality through 27 broken parts of flood control dams of Muhuri, Kahua and Ceylonia rivers. River water is flowing 86 cm above the danger line. The flood situation in the district has worsened due to the collapse of one more dam along with the 26 dams that broke in the last flood. Due to the loss of communication, the rescue work cannot be carried out properly. The water is still rising with the rain.
