South Korea's Chosun TV reported that at least 1,000 people died in a recent flood in North Korea. Quoting a North Korean official, Chosun TV reported that after the incident, the country's President Kim Jong Un ordered the officials involved in the “unprecedented damage” to be “severely punished”. The officials were sentenced to death last month on charges of corruption and dereliction of duty
