70 workers-supporters of BNP joined Jamaat in Enayetpur

70 people including BNP workers-supporters joined Jamaat-e-Islami in Enayetpur of Sirajganj.

Party candidate for Sirajganj-5 constituency Ali Alam greeted the newcomers with hugs in the election rally organized by Ward No. 4 Jamaat of Jamuna Charanchal dominated Sthal Union on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 70 people led by local BNP workers Haji Fazal Haque, Abdur Razzaq, Lalmiya Amin, Abdul Baki and Sona Mia formally joined Jamaat-e-Islami and took part in the election meeting.

Sthal Union Jamaat President Maulana Liaquat Ali confirmed the fact of joining. However, none of them have any title of BNP, said Zakir Hossain Bepari, the former senior joint convener of Sthal Union BNP.

Meanwhile, Alhaj Ali Alam, candidate for the parliamentary position of the scales symbol, spoke as the chief guest at the election ceremony. At this time Enayetpur Police Station Amir Dr. Salim Reza, Secretary Dr. Mofazzal Hossain, Chauhali Upazila Jamaat Ameer Abu Said Md Saleh, Belkuchi Upazila Jamaat Assistant Secretary Maulana Mahbubur Rashid Shamim and other party leaders were present.

Leaders and activists who joined Jamaat said that the ideals of the founder of BNP are no longer in that group. Besides, policies and activities have gone against Quran-Hadith and we are saddened by following Awami style politics. So I joined Jamaat to implement Islamic ideals.
