Four thieves were arrested by the local crowd while stealing rural electricity cables in Kulaura of Moulvibazar. Later the crowd started beating them. In the meantime, a local called the National Emergency Service 999 and reported the matter. Later, the police of the local police station came to the spot and rescued the thieves and took them to the police station.
Police Inspector Anwar Sattar, Media and Public Relations Officer of National Emergency Service Number 999, confirmed this information on Thursday (November 7).
He said, a caller said yesterday Wednesday evening – Four suspected thieves have been detained in Kulaura, Moulvibazar, along with rural electricity cables. Now excited people are giving their best. The caller appealed for immediate police assistance to bring the thieves to justice.
According to the information of the caller, after receiving the news from 999, a team of Kulaura police station quickly went to the spot and arrested four suspected thieves and recovered the thief.
The estimated value of the cable is known to be 60 thousand rupees. The arrested are Salim Miah (24), Tofail (24), Rubel Miah (25) and Rajib Miah (25).
A case has been filed in this regard.
