A private car caught fire on the flyover adjacent to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. There was no one in the car except the driver. There were no casualties.
The fire service said that the fire broke out around 12 noon today, Thursday (May 16).
Rozina Akhter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Control Room, told the media, I received information that a private car caught fire at around 12:05 PM. After that, two fire service units started working to extinguish the fire.
He also said that the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Kurmitola Fire Station Warehouse Inspector Monayem Billah told the media that only the driver was in the vehicle. There were no passengers. After the fire, the driver came out. No one was injured.
