A remittance of Tk 200 crore came on November 19


According to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank, the remittance flow increased by 30.7 percent in the first 19 days of November this year compared to the same period last year. During this period, expatriates sent 2008 crores or 2 billion US dollars to the country. According to this, an average of 10 million 57 million dollar remittances have arrived in the country every day.

Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan gave this information on Thursday (November 20).

He said that in the first 19 days of November, remittances came to the country worth 200 million 80 million dollars. And last year at the same time came 153 crore 7 million dollars. That is, the remittance flow has increased over the years.

Apart from this, on November 19, expatriates sent remittances of 104 million dollars to the country, he said, from July to November 19 of the current financial year, 1215 million dollars remittances have arrived in the country. It has increased by 16.10 percent during the year.

Before this, remittances of 256 crore 34 lakh 80 thousand and 268 crore 58 lakh 80 thousand US dollars came to the country in October and September respectively. And in last August and July, remittances of 242 crore 18 lakh 90 thousand and 247 crore 80 lakh dollars came to the country respectively.

Meanwhile, expatriates sent remittances of 30.32 billion or 3,328 million US dollars to the country during the last financial year 2024-25, which is the record of the highest expatriate income in any particular fiscal year in the history of the country.
