'A separate university is not possible for the children of bureaucrats' Bangladesh Diplomat

Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain said that the government has no intention of establishing a separate university for the children of bureaucrats. We cannot take this concept (idea).'

The minister said this in response to questions while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Sunday (May 5). In the last District Commissioner's conference, the DCs proposed to set up a separate university for the children of bureaucrats. It is also being discussed and criticized on social media.

When asked about this, the Minister of Public Administration said, 'As far as I remember, there were many issues. When the DCs came before the Prime Minister, they got the opportunity to talk to the executive heads of the country. This is a great opportunity for them. Many things come up there. A lot of asking, a lot of getting, a lot of expectation comes up. Different people asked different questions there.'

Stating that there is a government employee hospital for government employees, the minister said, 'University is a universal, universal university. University is a free place, where knowledge can be acquired, people can think freely. The development of the mind will happen here, will be made into a capable citizen. One such place is the university. All kinds of people should live here. University is the place of genius.

'A university for someone special… Yes, the army is running the university or others are doing it. In that case they said. For now we have more important work, we are doing that work.'

The minister said, 'We cannot take this concept separately for government employees only. When there is a university, it will be a university for all. He has to take the opportunity to study there after passing the entrance exam. This is how we see it.'

Farhad Hossain also said, 'We welcome all proposals. They suggested that when time permits, it is taken into consideration. We have more important things to do. We are not thinking about it at the moment.'
