ACC's application seeking ban on Taksim A Khan's departure

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has applied for a ban on the departure of Taksim A Khan, the former managing director of Dhaka Wasa.

ACC has given a letter in this regard to the Special Branch (SB) of the police on Monday.

The letter has also summoned all the documents related to Taksim.

Taksim resigned from the post of Dhaka WASA MD last Thursday. After that, the ACC started investigating the allegations of illegal acquisition of wealth against him.

An investigation committee has been formed under the leadership of ACC Assistant Director Mahbubul Alam.

According to ACC sources, a letter has been sent to the Secretary of the Local Government Department asking for documents related to the appointment of Taksim.

Despite allegations of irregularities and controversies, Taksim has been serving as the managing director of WASA for the past 15 years.
