After Mustafiz, Tamim-Soumya wins Bangladesh

Mustafizur Rahman built the foundation of victory. He got career best bowling figures with 6 wickets for 10 runs. Bangladesh needed something like this to restore their confidence after their humiliating defeats to USA in the previous two matches.

Mustafiz gave wind to that confidence. Later, Tanjid Tamim and Soumya Sarkar played an amazing innings. In the days of Mustafiz, Bangladesh no longer had to be ashamed. The Tigers left the field with a 9-wicket win.

There are three recognized openers in the team. Bangladesh dropped all three in the starting XI today. However, Tanjid Hasan Tamim and Soumya Sarkar played as openers. A target of 105 runs did not require much aggressive batting. The two openers did not go that way.
