Agnya Party member arrested in RAB raid in Pabna


RAB has arrested a member of Ajyan Party in a raid in Pabna. He was arrested from Pabna Central Bus Terminal area on Monday (May 13) night. The arrested Akeem Sardar alias Kashem (45) is the son of deceased Kader Sardar of Kodalia village of Mollahat upazila of Bagerhat.

RAB-12, CPC-2, Pabna Camp Company Commander Major Ehteshamul Haque Khan said that members of the unconscious party had taken the plan to knock the passengers of the Dhaka-bound bus unconscious in Pabna Central Bus Terminal area and snatch valuables from them. Based on that information, a team of RAB-12, Pabna camp conducted a raid in the central bus terminal area of ​​Pabna Municipal Headquarters on Monday night. Kashem, an active member of Ajyan Party, was arrested in the raid. At that time, three pieces of unhealthy anesthetic drugs, two mobile phones, three SIM cards and cash of Tk 1,100 were seized from him.

Kashem, who was arrested during preliminary interrogation by RAB, said that for a long time, he had been stealing cash and valuables from the passengers by making them unconscious with unhealthy sedatives in different districts of the country. The RAB commander said that Kashem was handed over to Pabna Sadar Police Station along with the seized evidence after filing a case in this incident.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station Roushna Ali said that Kashem, a member of the arrested Ajyan Party, will be handed over to the court on Tuesday after being arrested in the case.
