All services will continue uninterrupted: Admin of DNCC

The newly appointed administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has announced that all services will continue uninterrupted. Mahmudul Hassan.

He announced this during an exchange of views with journalists at the conference room of Nagar Bhavan in Gulshan on Tuesday (August 20) afternoon.

It should be noted that on Tuesday (August 20) morning, Md. joined as the administrator of DNCC. Mahmudul Hassan. He is Additional Secretary. Mahmudul Hasan joined as an administrator and held a meeting with all department heads and senior officials of DNCC regarding the overall activities of DNCC. After the meeting, he interacted with the journalists.

During the discussion with the journalists, the administrator of DNCC said that the interim government has been formed through the uprising of the students. We will conduct our activities with the highest priority to fulfill the expectations of the students from the current government. DNCC is a service organization. Steps will be taken to increase the range of services as per the expectations of the people.

Mosquito control activities will be strengthened to prevent dengue, he said, noting that the incidence of dengue increases during the rainy season. Therefore, mosquito control activities will be strengthened to prevent dengue. Normal flow of the canal will be ensured by cleaning and clearing the dirt. All other casual services including registration of births and deaths will continue.

In response to the journalist's question, the administrator of DNCC said that the government has not yet decided on the duties of the councilors of DNCC. As per the instructions of the government, the duty of the councilors will be final.

In response to another question from the journalist, he said that all the financial and administrative activities of government institutions are regularly under the scope of inspection. Therefore, any irregularities or corruption will be investigated and action taken as per rules.

When asked how long he will serve as an administrator, Mahmudul Hasan said that we have not been given any specific time limit. Even, more than one administrator can fulfill this responsibility if necessary.
