Allegation of attempted possession of property in Munshiganj

Panchsar Union Parishad Chairman Haji Golam Mostafa has been accused of forcibly occupying a tin shed market in Panchsar Chowrasta area on the outskirts of Munshiganj city.

On Wednesday (June 12), the owner of that market, Haji Al Amin Bulbul, made a written complaint to the Munshiganj Sadar Police Station.

As a result of occupation, he forcibly closed a food hotel in that market. After receiving the information, the police went and unlocked the shop and reopened it.

Haji Al Amin Bulbul said that a food hotelier was forcibly evicted from his rented shop in Tinshed Market. Along with that, the chairman's people locked the food hotel. This incident happened on Wednesday (June 12) around 10:30 pm.

Munshiganj Sadar Thana SI Md. Mithu confirmed the truth of the incident.

According to the police, Panchsar Union Parishad Chairman Haji Golam Mostafa through his men forcibly locked a food hotel in Tinshed Market owned by Haji Al Amin Bulbul on the north side of Panchsar intersection. Due to prior enmity and property disputes, he did this forcefully. Later, when the owner of the market, Al Amin, made a written complaint to the Bulbul police station, he went to the spot and broke the lock and opened the food hotel.

Haji Al Amin Bulbul, the owner of the market, said, “We bought 10 percent of the land at C,S 2821 in Panchsar Mauza No. 71 and built a tin shed market and a house there. I have rented those shops to various small traders. This property is registered in my name.

“I have been paying DCR fees regularly. But Panchsar Union Parishad chairman Golam Mostafa is repeatedly harassing me in various ways to take possession of this property by force. Even before this, we have sat in several police stations to resolve the issue. Golam Mustafa could not show his documents there.”

Meanwhile, Panchsar Union Parishad chairman Golam Mosta made several calls on his cell phone but he did not answer the call.

SI Md. Mithu said, 'When the consumers complained in writing, the locked food hotel was opened after going to the spot. The investigation is ongoing. After the investigation, further legal action will be taken.
