Allegation of trying to cross the border to Arafat!

It has been alleged that attempts are being made to smuggle former Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad A. Arafat across the border. Two-three officers of Dhaka Metropolitan North Intelligence Police are assisting in this work.

Gulshan Society executive committee member Arafat Ashwad Islam has complained. He made this complaint in a press conference in Gulshan of the capital on Friday.

Claiming that Arafat incited the police force during the anti-discrimination student movement, Ashwad Islam said, β€œMohammed A. Arafat made one bad comment during the movement. Incited the law and order forces that the shooting would not end. As a result of which anarchy has been created in the country.'

This member of the executive committee of Gulshan Society claimed in a press conference that the decision to shut down the Internet in the country came from the former Minister of State for Information Mohammad A. Arafat.

He said that Arafat shut down two televisions for 15 minutes with only one message without obeying any law. He also threatened to turn off the television if anything happens.

On Tuesday (August 27), news broke that Arafat had been detained. However, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Deputy Commissioner of Media Department Obaidur Rahman told the media that they do not have any information about the arrest of Mohammad A. Arafat. Searched DB, there was no arrest information.
