Parul Begum, who was injured in Rana Plaza tragedy in Savar on April 27, was a swing operator at the Fantom Tex Limited factory on the five floors of the building.

On that day, Rana Plaza died in the accident. More than 2,000 garment workers were injured. Most surviving workers could not return to normal life like Parul Begum.

The Rana Plaza collapse case has not been settled even after years; The trial is going on. An era later came today, the Rana Plaza workers demanded a fair trial and rehabilitation.

Despite the horrific accident, the construction of the building in Savar, near the capital, has not yet returned. Experts are worried that the risk of repeating the Rana Plaza incident is still today. They advise the authorities to take action for this.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday evening (April 23), the relatives of the people and the leaders of different organizations gathered at the martyr altar of Rana Plaza and remembered the deceased workers. They also demanded a fair rehabilitation for the affected and victims and exemplary punishment for the culprits.

Rana Plaza was in the Savar bus stand area along the Dhaka-Aricha highway. There were different shops on the first floor of the building. Shop and bank branch on the second floor. The garment factory was on the third to the seventh floor. The third floor is New Wave Bottoms Limited, New Wave Style Limited on the fourth and fifth floor, and Fantom Tack Limited, the sixth and seventh floors on the seventh and seventh floors. Ambulance siren, witness to the smell of dead corpse
The bodies of the dead, injured, dead people were rescued from the collapsed Rana Plaza. The injured were taken to the surrounding hospital. And the bodies were taken to Adharchandra High School grounds in Savar.

Each body found in the rescue operation for 5 days was taken in the ambulance at Adharchandra Field. The relatives waiting for the body rushed to hear the siren. Understand that the body of the relative came! The Adharchandra school grounds used to be heavy day and night in their relatives.

Many have been fighting to live with disability for almost 12 years. Workers complained that no one came to their rehabilitation, despite the long life struggling with illness and poverty.

“Those who have done the damage to us, the owner of this building, Rana, the garment owner, want to be hanged.

“And for the government for a long time, we have demanded that Rana Plaza do a market wherever it was and arranged for a rehabilitation of Rana Plaza's brothers and sisters,” said Parul Begum.

What the workers say

Khairul Mamun Mintu, legal secretary of Bangladesh Garments and Sweaters Workers Trade Union Center, said, “We claimed that the Rana Plaza tragedy had been fulfilled in 12 years. Nothing was fulfilled. No initiative for medical and rehabilitation was taken. The injured and affected workers families are passing the day.”

“Our demands of the government and the BGMEA should be taken to ensure speedy trial and rehabilitate the workers,” Mintu added.
