The Los Angeles Angels have surprisingly agreed to a contract extension with general manager Perry Minasian, reports Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

Minasian was in his final year with the Angels, but will now get the opportunity to continue as the GM as the Angels look to get back into contention.
