Another bad news about the flood

Before the horror of one of the worst floods in the country's history in August has passed, there are fears of another round of floods. On Sunday (September 01), the Meteorological Office announced such information in the long-term forecast.

Meteorologist Dr. Md. Chadekul Islam said that there is a possibility of normal rainfall in the country this month. One or two Monsoon low pressures are likely to form over the Bay of Bengal, one of which may develop into a monsoon depression.

Apart from this, there is a threat of two-three days of moderate thunderstorms in the northern and central parts of the country and three-five days of light thunderstorms across the country. During the month of September, heavy monsoon rains in northern, northeastern and southeastern regions of the country may cause short-term flooding at some places.

Meanwhile, one-two mild (36-38 degree Celsius) heat waves may occur isolated in the country. Day and night temperatures may be slightly higher than normal in this month.

In September, the average daily evaporation in the country is two to four millimeters and the average duration of bright sunshine can be four and a half to six and a half hours.
