A group of protesting Ansar entered the secretariat. On Sunday (August 25) around 1:20 PM, they entered the Secretariat towards Vidyut Bhawan through gate number three, ignoring the obstacles of the law and order forces.
They were protesting in front of the secretariat since 12 noon demanding nationalization of jobs. After half a hundred Ansars entered, the security forces quickly closed the gate. The Ansar entered and shouted slogans demanding nationalization of jobs. The Ansars who entered the Secretariat were peacefully standing around Gate No. 3 and shouting slogans.
They are telling the law enforcement personnel, either nationalize our jobs or kill us.
The Ansars have been protesting for the last two days demanding the nationalization of jobs. They claim that they have been discriminated against for a long time. Jobs were not nationalized despite their assurances.
The protesting Ansars have also announced that they will not allow anyone to leave the secretariat and will not allow anyone to enter until their demands are met.
After the fall of the Awami League government, the underprivileged from various sectors including the officials and employees of the secretariat have been protesting in front of the secretariat. Because of this, the officials and employees of the secretariat had to be blocked at various times.
