Application for admission to dental college started on Sunday

BDS (Dental) admission test notification for 2024-25 academic year has been published. The admission application will start from Sunday (December 29). It will continue until January 20.

It states that applicants who wish to appear in the admission test for the academic year 2024-25 must have passed the HSC/'A' level/equivalent examination in the year 2023 or 2024. Students who have passed SSC/ 'O' Level/ Equivalent examination before 2021 will not be considered eligible to apply.

Rules for filling the online form for dental admission test and detailed information related to admission can be known from the website of Teletalk, website of Department of Health Education and Family Welfare, website of Directorate of Health Education and website of Directorate of Health.

Application fee can be submitted till January 21. Admit card can be printed from 23rd to 25th February. After the application process, the admission test will be held on February 28 from 10 am to 11 pm.

According to the notification, candidates who wish to participate in the BDS course admission test must have passed the HSC or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024. Candidates who have passed SSC or equivalent examination before 2021 cannot apply.

Candidate must have passed SSC or equivalent examination in science department, HSC or equivalent examination must have science department including biology, physics and chemistry.

Aggregate GPA should be at least 9 in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations. In case of non-tribals from tribal and hill districts, aggregate GPA in these two exams should be 8. However, the GPA in any single examination shall not be less than 3.50.
