The Meteorological Department said that as the extension of low pressure has extended from West Bengal to North-West Bay of Bengal, there may be rain with storm and thunder in the next three days or 72 hours in different parts of the country. This information was reported in the weather forecast on Thursday (May 30) evening.
According to the forecast, the extension of western low pressure is extending from West Bengal to Northwest Bay of Bengal. Southwest Monsoon has advanced to Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions and eastern part of Dhaka division. Conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon.
In this situation, in many places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Thursday; Some places of Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and one or two places of Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience temporary rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.
In the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Friday, many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or two places in Barisal division may experience rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.
Apart from this, the forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Saturday said that in most places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and one or two places in Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience temporary rain with gusty winds or thundershowers.
