Arrest of Kejriwal: Mass hunger strike across India


Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and activists will again protest across India to protest the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. As part of the protest on Sunday (April 7), they will observe a 'mass fast' or mass hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in the capital. News from NDTV.

On this occasion, party leaders have gathered at Jantar Mantar for a day-long fast. Delhi Police has made extensive preparations around the protest program. Security has been increased on the roads leading to Jantar Mantar.

Aam Aadmi leader Gopal Rai said Arvind Kejriwal's supporters are participating in the party's mass hunger strike from across India and outside the country. Kejriwal's supporters can go on hunger strike to support the Chief Minister, he said.

Gopal Rai also said that supporters will show their support to Kejriwal through fasting in important international centers of New York, Boston, Toronto, Washington DC, Melbourne and London, including 25 states of India.

He said, if you oppose the arrest of Kejriwal, then observe mass hunger strike.

The Aam Aadmi Party staged a 'Gherao' program at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence last month. At that time, the police dragged several leaders and workers of the party, including women members, to the police station.

Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last month in the Madaniti scam case. He has been sent to judicial custody till April 15.
