Aruna Biswas said to pour 'hot water' to suppress the movement – Bangladesh Diplomat

Actor Aruna Biswas asked to pour hot water on the protestors in the anti-discrimination student movement. He recently made such comments in a WhatsApp group of artists at that time.

It is known that there were two factions opposing the quota reform among the artists. Both parties were active on the internet. Former member of parliament of Dhaka-10 constituency and actor Ferdous Ahmed, former Minister of State for Information Mohammad A Arafat and actor Riaz were in the opposition group of the anti-discrimination student-public movement. Among the other members of this group were actresses Shamima Tushti, Tanveen Sweety, Sohana Saba, Aruna Biswas, actor Saju Khadem and many others. This group has been active against the students since the beginning of the student movement. They even opened a WhatsApp group called 'Alo Ashbei'. During the movement, they used to talk among themselves about various issues.
Recently, some screenshots of a WhatsApp group called Alo Asbeyi have been leaked on social media. It has been seen that some showbiz actors are talking about various plans with the students during the movement. Not only that, there were some sensational conversations between Ferdous, Arafat and Riaz.
At one point someone wrote, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University on fire. Fire service and media workers are not allowed to enter Tokai Jamaat and talented activists of Shibir. After that Aruna Biswas on the other hand said in reply, hot water will do. Among them, actress Aruna Biswas was also seen talking about pouring hot water on the protesters.
After the screenshots were leaked, there was a storm in the net world. From actors to producers have also joined in this incident. They also demanded punishment.
Producer Mustafa Sarayer Farooqui shared some screenshots of the group's conversation on his Facebook. Besides, the maker also raised the question of who was the opposing force of humanity around the movement.
On the other hand, the media tried to contact Ferdous and Riaz to know about the conversation of that group during the students' agitation. However, their statements did not match.
