AstraZeneca announces withdrawal of corona vaccine from all over the world

Oxford-AstraZeneca announces global withdrawal of anti-coronavirus vaccine. Earlier in court documents, the drugmaker admitted for the first time that its anti-coronavirus vaccine could cause dangerous side-effects. However, it is said to be very rare.

Since AstraZeneca's Vaxgevria anti-coronavirus vaccine was approved in the UK and other countries, millions of people worldwide have taken it.

However, recently Oxford-AstraZeneca announced in an announcement that they will withdraw all their corona vaccines. The vaccine can no longer be used in any European Union country after the agency announced a voluntary withdrawal of its anti-coronavirus vaccine. Vaccination withdrawal was applied for on March 5 and has been effective since May 7.

AstraZeneca said it was withdrawing its anti-coronavirus vaccine from the market for commercial reasons. The company says it has no plans to manufacture or supply the vaccine at this time.

In the past few months, reports of rare side effects of AstraZeneca vaccines have continued to emerge. Many have side effects like blood clots and low blood platelets. In medical terms it is called TTS.

In court documents filed in the High Court last February, AstraZeneca admitted that such side effects could occur from its vaccines, but the company said they were rare.

TTS causes blood clots in various parts of the body and low platelets. So far 81 people have died in the UK due to such side effects. There have also been several cases against AstraZeneca in the British High Court.

But AstraZeneca insists the decision to withdraw the vaccine has nothing to do with the court case. They say it is a coincidence.

AstraZeneca said in a statement that they are very proud of their contribution to the anti-corona vaccine worldwide. Their vaccination has played an important role in ending the corona epidemic in the world. The organization claims that their vaccine has saved the lives of 6.5 million people in the first year of Corona. They have delivered 3 billion doses worldwide.

AstraZeneca says that the latest vaccines are becoming more readily available as multiple anti-coronavirus vaccines are developed. As a result, demand for Vaxjevria has decreased, which is no longer manufactured or supplied. So they decided to withdraw the approval to market this vaccine.
