Neris returns to Houston after leaving the organization this offseason. He signed with the Chicago Cubs on a one-year deal but was released by the Cubs earlier this week.
The right-hander was a major part of Houston winning the 2022 World Series, helping them take down the Philadelphia Phillies in six games. He threw a scoreless seventh inning in the clinching Game 6 victory, earning his first championship as a player.
