Awami League welcomed the operation of joint forces

Awami League has welcomed the operation of joint forces to recover weapons across the country. On Wednesday (September 4), a post from the Bangladesh Awami League page on social media Facebook welcomed the campaign.

The post mentioned, “We welcome the operation of joint forces to recover arms, ammunition.” As criminals are wreaking havoc across the country, it is imperative to arrest them in the interest of the people. However, special attention should be paid to ensure that no innocent people are harassed during this operation.

The post also mentions that video footage of members of some political parties involved in the looting of hundreds of police stations in Bangladesh, various news have already been published. They must be arrested with due application of law. But if the members of those political parties act as the source of the joint forces, then the main aim and purpose of this operation will be questioned. Because they will target the leaders and workers of the opposing political party, even the opponents of their own party. We believe that the authorities must be strict about the gunmen, and ensure that no innocent people are arrested. We want Bangladesh free of drugs and illegal weapons.
