Bangladesh cannot be led by denying Bangabandhu: Kader Siddiqui

President of Krishak Sramik Janata League Bangbir Quader Siddiqui Bir Uttam said that Bangladesh cannot be led by denying Bangabandhu. We made Bangladesh independent under his leadership. Got a free country for him. We have to move forward respecting Bangabandhu.

On Friday (August 30), he said these things during a personal visit to Bangabandhu's tomb in Tungipara, Gopalganj, while interacting with journalists. Earlier in the afternoon, he paid tribute at Bangabandhu's tomb in Tungipara. Senior leaders of Jatiya Krishak Sramik Janata League and local leaders and activists of Gopalganj district and Tungipara upazila were present as tour companions.

Commenting that one has to endure many setbacks to achieve patriotism, Bangbir said, “As long as Sheikh Hasina follows the ideals of Bangabandhu, I will also be with her.” As a Muslim I do not care about anyone except Allah and the Messenger. After loving Allah and His Messenger, my love and affection revolves around Bangabandhu. If not for Bangabandhu, I would have been a rickshaw puller, or a shepherd. I learned to love the country after meeting Bangabandhu. Many people talk about patriotism but patriotism is not so easy. Regarding Awami League's return to politics, Kader Siddiqui said, I eat when I eat, I pray when I pray. I have come to Tungipara today to pray for the soul of my political father Bangabandhu. When Bangabandhu's murder was tried, everyone was in a hole. There was political unrest in the country. In return, I received respect from people, but not from those who should have received respect. Instead we have been insulted. This Awami League is not Sheikh Hasina's Awami League. It is the Awami League of Maulana Bhasani, the Awami League of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Awami League of the poor. That Awami League and this Awami League are not the same. I was Bangabandhu before, I am still Bangabandhu and I will live with his ideals for the rest of my life.

At that time, the president of Krishak Sramik Janata League told Awami League leaders that storms come and go. No darkness lasts forever. The sky will clear again.

Thanking the people of Tungipara of Gopalganj, Bangbir said, I don't know if I can come here again in my life. I am very happy that Bangabandhu's tomb has been preserved so beautifully even in these calamitous times.
