Millions of people are stuck in flood water in Feni, Noakhali, Comilla and Khagrachari of Bangladesh. They are still trapped in water. In such a situation, people and organizations of different levels are coming forward for flood affected people.
Various people are bringing relief for the flood victims from different parts of Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced to come forward for the flood victims.
BCB president Farooq Ahmed has announced to donate one crore rupees to the relief fund of the chief advisor of the interim government for the flood affected people.
He said, 'You know how terrible the flood situation of our country has become. Bangladesh Cricket Board will stand by the flood victims like always. We are sending a relief through the army. Then there is a fund for the chief advisor. We are thinking of paying a cash amount there.'
When asked what is in the relief bag sent by BCB, BCB president Farooq Ahmed said, 'What is in a bag is dry food. You know there is no cooking. So there will be dry food with chira, mudri in the bag.'
But it does not stop here, BCB will also work on the rehabilitation of the victims if the water recedes, said Farooq Ahmed, the new president of BCB.
