BCB meeting today, the name of the new president may be announced

BCB has called a board meeting on Wednesday (August 21). Meanwhile, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon has been in hiding since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5. In such a situation, it is impossible to fulfill the duties of his board president. And this will be the first board meeting of Bangladesh Cricket Board after the change of government. It is known that the current president Nazmul Hasan Papon will participate in this meeting online. He will announce his resignation in this meeting.

The announcement of the new board president may also come on the same day. Today it can be decided who will be the new president of BCB. Former Bangladesh cricket team captain and former national team selector Farooq Ahmed is leading the race to become the BCB president.

According to the constitution of BCB, to become the president of the organization, he must be a director. However, Farooq Ahmed is not the director of the current board. That is why he will be brought to the BCB as the designated director of the National Sports Council. He will then be elected as the president by a vote of BCB directors.

Meanwhile, Jalal Yunus resigned from the post of BCB director on Tuesday. He was the National Sports Council nominated director in BCB.
