Bilkis was killed by pouring petrol on his body

Before marriage, Mizanur Rahman Sumon and Bilkis were in love. They got married two years ago. Bilkis started a family life with sky-high dreams by marrying Suman, a ride driver. But this woman is the victim of the cruel plan of the husband whom she married with love. She was brutally murdered by her husband on Sunday (May 19) while out for a walk.

RAB-1 members arrested Suman from Basan area of ​​Gazipur. According to the force, Suman took his wife Bilkis to the forest of Sector 24 of Purbachal and doused her with petrol and set her on fire. This information was given in the press conference organized at Uttara office of RAB-1 on Wednesday (May 22) at noon.

RAB-1 captain Lt. Col. Mostak Ahmed said that Bilkis did not know that Sumon had a wife and children before marriage. After the marriage, Suman rented Bilkis another house in Nayapara, one and a half kilometers away from his previous wife's house in Ranavola, Turag. Recently, a conflict started between them over financial problems. Suman plans to remove Bilkis from the world due to marital discord. After that, Suman failed in the 'killing mission' after going around for a few times.

He also said that after noon on May 19, Suman went to Purbachal area with Bilkis. They drink tea on the way. Suman kept looking for places and opportunities in wandering – where to kill Bilkis. At one point, after 4 pm, Suman stopped the car at a hut in Sector 24 of Purbachal. After getting out of the car, he filled a pipe from Backdala with petrol. Suman threw that petrol on Bilkis and immediately set it on fire with a matchstick. Bilkis kept screaming for his life. It was so quiet around – no one could hear her scream. In that situation, Suman left Bilkis and left quickly with the car.

Mostak Ahmed said that Bilkis' screams made the surrounding people come running. They rescued Bilkis from a drain and first took him to Kurmitola Hospital. When the condition deteriorated there, he was quickly transferred to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Bilkis died at 9 am on May 20 while undergoing treatment there. Suman went into hiding after the incident.
