Boys and girls of that area are not getting married because of the road

The only road for the movement of the people of about 10 villages including Kashiara, Shibrampur, Harina of Bhaduria Union of Nawabganj Upazila of Dinajpur is in poor condition. The people of this region have to face difficulties in moving to various important jobs including students, patients. People don't even want to marry their sons and daughters in this area.

Due to the trees on the side of the road, the road is not working even after the tender. Thousands of people suffer. To end public suffering and inconvenience, the road needs to be paved and the locals sought the intervention of the authorities concerned to cut the trees through tenders to pave the road.

Going to the surface, it can be seen that the residents of 10 nearby villages travel on this unpaved road from the junction of the paved road of Chatshal in Bhaduria Union of Nawabganj Upazila to Shibarampur village. Every year when the monsoon season comes, the only road for the residents of these villages becomes unusable due to the accumulation of mud. No one in this village wants to marry the boys and girls. Despite the repeated demands of the villagers, the public representatives did not take the initiative to pave the road. About 20,000 residents of 10 villages and school students have suffered. If it rains a little, the road looks like plowed land. The people of the area have to suffer endlessly in moving through the muddy roads. There is no end to the suffering of children, students, pedestrians and mosque worshipers, including school and college students. Due to non-cutting of trees on the side of the road, the work has not started even after the tender. Villagers and pedestrians have planted rice seedlings on the road to protest against such suffering.

The local villagers said with anger that the MP, the chairman comes and talks big during the election. After the election, they no longer come to the area. We do not know what crime the people of this area are committing, for which we have to pay. The village roads are in such a bad condition that during the monsoon season we are afraid to go out of the house. Boys and girls cannot go to school and none of the boys and girls in this area want to get married. We cannot sell paddy in the market during monsoon, nor can we market it on time. In a word, some villages in our area are backward in all aspects.

Monarul Islam, a UP member of Ward No. 8 of Nawabganj Upazila Bhaduria Union, said, “The villagers could not resolve the matter of tree cutting even after repeatedly asking the local MP and chairman. We are all helpless under the influence of a local Awami League leader. Who or what is cutting trees in the middle of the night and he is filing a case in the name of the helpless people of the village. Not only cutting trees, but if anyone makes any bad comments against Rafiq, he harasses him by filing a case against him. We don't want trees, we want road paving including road widening.'
