Candle lighting in Kubi in protest against rape

Students of Comilla University's 'Suniti-Shanti' hall lit candles to protest the rape and murder of a female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The students present at that time also joined the program.

The candle was lit on Tuesday (August 20) at 10 pm at the open stage of the university.

In this regard, Atifa Lea, a resident student of 'Suniti-Shanti' Hall, said, “Today (Tuesday), we are strongly protesting the incident of rape of a female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata by lighting a candle. At the same time, I demand a fair trial of this incident.
