Case against 321 people including former state minister in Savar

The other accused in the case are Savar Upazila Awami League general secretary and former upazila chairman Manjurul Alam Rajib, his younger brother UP Chairman Fakhrul Alam Samar, Savar Upazila Chhatra League former president Atiq, Municipal Mayor Abdul Gani, Dhaka District Awami League Vice President Masud Chowdhury, Councilor Nazrul Names of 321 people from Awami League and allied organizations including Islam Manik Mollah, Nur Alam Siddiqui Newton, Moshiur Rahman Samrat, Ramzan Hossain, Sanjida Sharmin Mukta, Mizanur Rahman Mizan have been mentioned. 400-500 people have been accused of unknown names.

According to the statement of the case, Sajjad went to Savar bus stand to buy some products on August 5. At that time, the anti-discrimination student agitators led by accused no. 1-10 were fired upon. Sajjad was shot and seriously injured in the attack. He was admitted to the ICO of Savar Enam Medical College Hospital with injuries. Sajjad died under treatment on August 6.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Savar Model Police Station Shah Zaman said, 'A case of murder has been registered. Further legal action will be taken after investigation. Efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
