Case against Sheikh Hasina and Rehana in Chittagong

A case has been filed against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana in Chittagong court. On Thursday (August 29), a businessman named Mamun Ali filed the case in Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Salauddin's court. The court directed to record the case as an FIR at Halishahar police station.

Although the court first verbally ordered the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Chittagong Metro Unit to investigate the case. Hearing this order, the plaintiff's lawyers were furious. They demanded an order to record the complaint as a regular case in the police station. At this time, the lawyers made various comments to the judge. At one point, the judge left the courtroom in embarrassment.

During this, the lawyers raised various slogans. The judge came back to the court about two hours after the incident. He then ordered the police of Halishahar police station to take the complaint as an FIR.

Several lawyers and judicial officials who witnessed the incident have confirmed this information.

Advocate Ashrafur Rahman, the lawyer of the plaintiff in the case, said that we applied for an FIR order in the case. But the court ordered PBI to investigate first. Then we reiterated the demand and said if necessary we will go to the Metropolitan Magistrate. Later the court ordered the FIR.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of City Police Prosecution Department AAM Humayun said that additional police were sent to the court area after receiving reports of ruckus and sloganeering. Nothing unpleasant happened afterwards.
