Two girls who love playing dress-up with their cats have melted the hearts of internet viewers.
Rineke Lewis (@rinekelewis), 40, adopted two kittens, Spike and Bella, as a surprise for her children: Isaak, 13, Reece, 10, and Kora, 6.
Her daughters, who love playing with dolls, soon started to carry their cats in strollers and dress them up, as if they were toys. Lewis shared adorable footage of her children walking Bella, sporting a pink dress, being taken out in a pink stroller, which amassed more than 36,600 likes and over 327,000 views on Instagram.
“I still am shocked to this day how they will just chill and stay in the stroller when the girls take them out. On occasion, they decide they have had enough and jump out, but for the most part, they just enjoy the ride,” the nurse from Boise, Idaho, told Newsweek.
One of the cats lays in dress-up in a stroller. Both daughters have grown up playing with their pets, the mom told Newsweek.

Though both cats enjoy playing with the children, Spike is less tolerant of the dress-up.
Lewis described Bella as a more affectionate pet who likes to follow the family around.
The video shows Bella comfortably seated in her stroller as one of the girls gives her a loving head rub. They then roll her out onto the front yard as she sits unfazed in her stroller.
“She is the most tolerable of dress-up, but she will let the kids know when she has had enough. More often than not, though, she just enjoys the attention and pampering, playing the baby,” Lewis said.
Spike is cuddly on his own terms and gravitates toward Isaak. “He is also the loudest and meows the most to let us know when he wants something,” Lewis added.

The mom loves watching her children grow up and create memories with the animals.
“We definitely won the jackpot when we adopted Bella and Spike. They are such good-tempered cats and our family loves them so much,” Lewis said.
An article on SparkleCat said that it is important to teach children how to handle cats gently and respectfully when playing. Parents should ensure the pet is comfortable with being handled and always supervise interactions to make sure the feline is not stressed or uncomfortable.
Encouraging kids to use treats can also help cats associate the activity with positive experiences, making them more willing participants.

Other cat lovers shared their similar experiences and reminisced about their childhood cats.
“My daughter used treats to entice the kitten because I had a rule that if the cat wasn’t enjoying the activity, then it was abuse, not a game. The cat began jumping into the stroller and waiting for my daughter to notice,” wrote Nancy.
“I used to do this with the cat I found under the house as a kid. He also let me put a bonnet on him and stuff him in my play kitchen’s microwave. He was so chill, haha,” posted Kay.
“My childhood cat was CONSTANTLY pushed around in a stroller while wearing my baby doll’s bonnets and nightgowns…he was so patient.”
