Chance of heavy rain for three consecutive days

The department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rain in two parts of the country for two consecutive days. It has reported the possibility of heavy rain in two divisions in the first two days and in three divisions in the next day.

This information is known from the next 72-hour forecast given by the Meteorological Department on Thursday (June 6) at 6 pm.

According to the organization, Friday (June 7) till 6 pm in most places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Many places of Dhaka, Rangpur and Chittagong divisions and some places of Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds temporarily. Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rains in some parts of the country.

Saturday (June 8) till 6 pm in many places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Some places of Dhaka, Rangpur and Chittagong divisions and one or two places of Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thundershowers. Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

On Sunday (June 9) light to moderate rain with gusty wind or thunder may occur in most places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and two or two places of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Chittagong and Barisal divisions till 6 pm on Sunday (June 9). Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.

As per the synoptic conditions, the low pressure extension extends over northwest Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere in northern Bay of Bengal.

The extended five-day weather forecast states that rainfall trends may increase towards the end of the period.
