Chanchkod Nazim Uddin School and College Complications in appointing two people to the same post

Allegations have been made against the board of directors for appointing a person named Taslima to the same post in 2019 after 14 years after retaining Aliya Khatun, who was appointed as assistant librarian in 2005 at Chanchkod Nazim Uddin School and College in Gurdaspur town.

Aleya Khatun made the complaint at a press conference at Upazila Muktijoddha Complex highlighting the validity of the appointment at around 12 noon on Tuesday (September 3). His family members were present at that time. Regretting in the press conference, Aleya Khatun said that she has been serving her duties faithfully since she was appointed as assistant librarian. However, the Awami League leader of the time, former upazila chairman and president of the board of directors, Anwar Hossain and his own uncle acting principal, lecturer Zainal Abedin appointed another person to the same position illegally. As a result Alaya's MPO got stuck even though the appointment was correct. Even talking about it then did not work. Aleya Khatun demanded to cancel Taslima's illegal appointment seeking justice.

When trying to contact Taslima Khatun on her mobile phone, it was not possible to get a statement as the phone was not received. It is known that according to the appointment rules of 1995, the then board of directors appointed Aleya Khatun as assistant librarian. After 14 years, another woman named Taslima Khatun was appointed on the same post on October 25, 2019 in violation of the rules. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Salim Akhter said, according to the government recruitment rules, there is one post of assistant librarian in schools and colleges. There is no possibility of appointing two people in that position. It is unfortunate if such incidents happen. The matter will be investigated and reported to the higher authorities.
