The reigning champions will be without their major offseason addition to kick off the 2024 NFL season.

On Friday, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters that wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is not expected to play in their Thursday night regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

Brown injured his shoulder in the Chiefs’ preseason opener, and is unlikely to be healthy in time for Week 1.
