City dwellers crushed by traffic jams

Due to the low pressure caused by the monsoon winds, monsoon weather has been created in the entire country including the capital at the beginning of Bhadra. Overnight torrential rain continued in the morning. As a result, the residents of the capital have been stuck in heavy traffic since morning. Office goers are suffering especially in morning traffic. Hours are spent in the car. Many people are walking miles after miles to the destination.

The breakdown of vehicles at several places in the city has intensified. These images of traffic jams can be seen in different areas of the capital since Monday (August 19) morning.

Severe traffic congestion was observed on the Abdullahpur road from Moghbazar to Mohakhali. The queue of cars stuck at the signal from Moghbazar intersection is approaching Moghbazar Wireless. Meanwhile, vehicles were seen standing for a long time at Tibet and Nabisco points in Tejgaon area.

The picture of different areas of the capital is also very similar. Same situation on Banani and Radisson to Airport road.

Due to the breakdown of a long vehicle (covered van) in front of Balaka, there is heavy traffic on Radisson to Airport road. It has also affected the 300 feet road and Kuril. But hopefully it has been put by the wayside before long. It may take a little more time for traffic to return to normal.

Meanwhile, many ordinary people expressed their anger about the role of the traffic police on the road. Several people have expressed their anger on the country's biggest Facebook group 'Traffic Alert' regarding traffic updates.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in all parts of the country including the capital today. Apart from this, the Department of Meteorology has said in a forecast that storms with a maximum speed of 60 km are likely to occur in 11 regions of the country. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

According to another weather bulletin, the low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal has condensed and turned into a distinct low pressure. In this situation, rain may occur in all parts of the country for the next few days. At this time, moderate to very heavy rain may occur in different parts of the country.
