Coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement in meeting with doctors in DM

The coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement sat in discussion with the agitators after the announcement of a complete shutdown of the doctors in protest against the attack on the Dhaka Medical College (DMH) hospital.

The discussion started at 3 pm on Sunday (September 1) in the DMK meeting room. Coordinators Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah and a delegation of agitating doctors and DMK Director Brigadier General Asaduzzaman sat in this discussion as the representatives of the students to start the closed medical services.

Meanwhile, health advisor Noor Jahan Begum came to Dhaka Medical College around 4:15 PM. He is having a separate meeting with the doctors in the director's office.

Earlier, the doctors of the emergency department of Dhamek Hospital have announced a strike due to the beating of three doctors of the surgery department. Along with that, they also stated four point demands. The doctors also said that the complete shutdown will continue without ensuring the demand and security.

Angry doctors announced this program from a rally in front of the administrative building of DMK Hospital around 2:30 PM on Sunday (September 1).

Earlier on Saturday (August 31) night, the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital was vandalized and doctors were beaten up. The doctors stopped medical services in the emergency department of DMK Hospital from Sunday morning to demand justice and safety of the attack. Later, discussions were held to resolve the problem, but it was not fruitful. After that, the doctors announced a complete shutdown program across the country to meet the four-point demand.
