Dallas Cowboys superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons is set to enter his fourth season in the NFL. He’s spent his entire career with the Cowboys thus far and will look to make 2024 his best season yet.

In a short period of time, Parsons has established himself as one of the best defenders in the league and has among the best odds to finally take home the Defensive Player of the Year award. While football is the main focus of his career, Parsons has ventured off into other interests — among them his podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons.”
From week to week, he gives fans the unique opportunity to hear from him and his opinion on the game of football and other things. Many see it as a distraction for the young superstar; however, Parsons doesn’t see it that way.

In a recent interview with the media after practice, Parsons didn’t mince words about what others think about his podcast and its ‘distraction.’
Jon Machota of The Athletic shared this via Twitter/X.
“I don’t think no one really cares about what I’m doing on a Monday afternoon when I’m at home with my kids,” said Parsons. “So why would they care if I’m on Xbox? I think we all get our own free time. When y’all away from here are y’all thinking about me at home? I would hope not. … I try not to say (anything) controversial but everyone always is gonna be drawn to something. They’re going to try to take one thing. We all have opinions. We’re not going to agree to what everyone says. That’s life.”

Following the 2024 season, Parsons signed a multi-year extension deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, making him president of their American football digital sports media division, Bleacher Report Gridiron.
It is possible to do both. For example, look at NBA icon and Lakers superstar LeBron James. He is also a part of the TV/media world in one shape or another, and he is still at the top of his game.
Parsons is too talented and young to forget how to play football at an elite level suddenly. The 25-year-old is coming off another All-Pro season in which he collected 64 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 33 quarterback hits (a career-high), and 14.0 sacks (a career-high) in all 17 games while also finishing third in Defensive Player of the year voting.
The former Penn State Nittany Lion is just getting started.
