Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb just added fuel to the fire amid his recent contract holdout.
Lamb posted a cryptic photo on social media of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man donning the iconic black suit while he puts on the mask.

The meaning behind the photo is anyone’s guess, so it’s hard to determine what it means. However, it could mean a variety of things, such as whether Lamb will get traded, hinting at what team he could play for next, or possibly meaning that he is going to play out of his mind this upcoming season with a new deal in Dallas.

The black Spider-Man suit in the Marvel universe means that an alien symbiote has attached itself to the suit and, eventually, Peter Parker’s mind. Although it gives Parker awesome abilities like making Spider-Man stronger, faster, and more aggressive, the suit can also be unsettling, such as when it takes Spider-Man’s body out for joy rides at night. Eventually, it’s discovered that the suit is trying to take over Peter’s body and mind, and they separate.
The symbiote has a mind of its own, and it can become dangerous after a while.
While this photo could mean a lot of things, there are things we do know. Lamb wants a new contract and, thus far, the Cowboys have offered less than $33 million. That number would put him as the second-highest paid receiver in the NFL per year salary basis. The 25-year-old wide receiver deserves that money and then some, especially off the season he just produced.

In 2023, Lamb put together the best season of his career, recording 135 receptions on 181 targets, 1,749 receiving yards, 12 receiving touchdowns, and an average of 13 yards per reception.
The star wide receiver is the Cowboys’ best offensive weapon, and if they were to lose him, they would be in some serious trouble. Lamb is a three-time Pro Bowler and a one-time All-Pro.
The former Oklahoma Sooner wants to receive the money he feels he deserves, but the Cowboys also know they will have to pay others in the near future, like quarterback Dak Prescott and edge rusher Micah Parsons.
Before Lamb posted this cryptic photo on social media, Parsons shared that he was confident that Lamb would be suiting up for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. It remains to be seen if that’s the case.
