Cyclone 'Remal' will be terrible if you open your eyes

Usually the eyes of very strong cyclones open. Rising with these eyes open is considered dangerous. Due to various reasons Cyclone Remal is also taking round shape of cloud band i.e. Meghmala. So meteorologists think, Cyclone Remal can also form an eye.

On Sunday (May 26), the non-governmental organization Bangladesh Weather Observation Team (BWOT) informed about the matter.

Khalid Hossain, chief meteorologist of the organization, said, I think the cyclone is not as strong as Remal Sidor or Amphan, but as a moderate storm it may cross the coast.

BWOT researchers say that Cyclone Remal may cross the coast with its full strength. The maximum strength of a cyclone is Category-5. But when it crosses the coast, its intensity drops to Category-3 or 4. But that will not be the case with Remal. If its maximum speed is 120 km/h, it is likely to cross the subsurface without reducing this power at all. Various convective waves are observed throughout the Bay of Bengal. Among them, the influence of RossV, Kelvin and MJO is seen to be very high. Due to these effects, Remal is rapidly increasing in strength.

They think it could have been stronger if the land had had more time to fruit. But in the end it may have to stick to the category-1 boundary.

Remal effects can cause such as tides

According to BWOT, 8-10 feet of wind-driven tide is expected due to the impact of Cyclone Remal. Which may increase the height a bit more if the tide hits. It is Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat's island, Bagerhat's Sharankhola, Pirojpur's Baleshwar river estuary, Barguna, Jhalkathi, Patuakhali, Barisal's low-lying areas and islands, Bhola, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar's remote islands may be affected by this tide. They also said that usually the intensity is more on the right side of where the cyclone hits.

Basically, the deep depression intensified into Cyclone Remal at 7:10 pm on Saturday (May 25). It is about 250 km from Mongla. Located in South and South West. The leading part of which will touch the coast by afternoon on Sunday (May 26) and may finish crossing the Sundarbans coast near the border by evening to midnight, said the Meteorological Department.
